September 28 — During Korea Blockchain Week (KBW) 2026, the parallel forum “AI Meets the Chart — A Horizon Series Event @KBW” successfully hosted a high-profile roundtable, “AI × DeFi × Trading,” focusing on the ultimate destination of future finance.
Moderated by Berri, the roundtable brought together leading entrepreneurs, investors, and quantitative experts from the global AI and Crypto sectors:
Mr. Aaron — Global Partnerships Advisor, UniKey
Carlos — CEO, ORIGINS
Walter — Co-Founder & COO, Travix
Tycho Onnasch — Founder, Zest Protocol
Coralie Tian — CMO, AITOK
Adam Cai — Founder & CEO, Virgo Group; CEO, Wallet V
The discussion covered 10 major forward-looking topics, including “Can AI become an independent Trader?”, “The ultimate destination of Alpha,” and “The 24/7 market structure of Agent-to-Agent trading.” Drawing on UniKey’s underlying infrastructure strategy in the areas of the AI access rights gateway and decentralized settlement, UniKey Global Partnerships Advisor Mr. Aaron shared a series of in-depth perspectives. Mr. Aaron believes that:
AI is evolving from an “assistive tool” into an “autonomous trading actor”
The ultimate destination of Trading in the future will go beyond simply Human + AI. As intelligent agents (Agents) acquire capabilities for autonomous decision-making, tool invocation, and fund management, fully autonomous Agents will directly interact with DeFi protocols—including lending, trading, and market making—and become the market’s core liquidity providers (LPs) and high-frequency traders.
The source of Alpha will shift toward “workflow orchestration” and “computing power routing efficiency”
As foundational large models and market data become increasingly homogeneous, it will become progressively more difficult to generate Alpha through the model itself alone. In the future, Alpha will come from the refined orchestration of Workflows (multi-agent workflows), as well as the millisecond-level dynamic routing efficiency of underlying computing resources and capital.
The greatest risk in Agent Trading lies in the “lack of native settlement and spending-limit boundaries”
The greatest risks associated with AI-driven trading lie not only in model hallucinations or herd effects, but also in the inability of traditional financial and on-chain infrastructure to provide Agents with controllable spending limits, independent identity credentials, and real-time micropayment settlement, resulting in trading risks that cannot be effectively controlled.
Mr. Aaron stated, “The biggest misconception in today’s market is that we still regard AI as assistive software for human traders, while overlooking the fact that AI Agents will directly become the ‘digital labor force’ driving financial markets.” When tens of thousands of Agents trade and collaborate with one another 24/7, infrastructure such as UniKey and KeyFlow, integrating a unified gateway, intelligent Credits-based pricing, and decentralized settlement, will be essential to fully support the explosive growth of the Agent economy.
The exchange of ideas and perspectives at this roundtable showcased to the global industry a forward-looking vision of the deep integration of AI and DeFi, further establishing UniKey’s leading position as the underlying settlement and routing infrastructure for the global Agent economy.
